1968 BOC purchased Heimsyphon, a German syphon manufacturer which started in the 1920s and sold Sparklets syphons branded as Heimsyphon until 1945.
1973 1,300 people employed at the Tottenham factory
1981 Syphon production ceased
1984 BOC sold Heimsyphon to Sparklet Devices (USA).
1990 Heimsyphon is now part of iSi GmbH based in Vienna, Austria. iSi manufacture syphons today.
